Amphoras means a pottery jar in ancient Greek language. Once upon a time in the 16th Century a turkish ship carrying amphoras full of wine sank in Om El Seid area, Sharm El Sheikh, Sinai. This Site is famous for scuba diving as it attracts many people interested inwitnessing the remains of an incdent that occured two hundred years ago. in memorial of such an local incident, we couldn't find a better name for
resort.
